Making social education accessible and tangible
We deliver relationships, personal and health education for adults with learning disabilities through unique 3D learning tools, workshops and training for organisations.
Why we exist
Imagine wanting a relationship when nobody has ever shown you what a safe, loving, consensual one looks like.
Imagine being asked to make decisions about your health when nobody has explained what's happening to your body.
Imagine finding yourself in trouble with the police for doing something nobody told you was wrong.
This is the reality for many adults with learning disabilities. We exist to change that.
Everyone deserves to understand their bodies, relationships and rights.
Our three-dimensional learning tools turn abstract, nuanced topics like consent, boundaries, bodies, relationships and health into things you can pick up, hold, move and feel.
Traffic lights to teach consent. Fabrics that help someone explore the difference between a healthy situation and an unhealthy one. Representations of real bodies to educate people about intimacy and health.
With almost three decades of adult social care experience, we know first-hand how effectively people learn when you meet them with respect, at their level of understanding, with high-quality, thoughtfully designed, enjoyable-to-use tools.
When you work with us, you don't simply hire our expertise, knowledge and frameworks. You build your own.
Our goal is to empower every organisation on the frontline of adult care provision with confidence and tools to confidently deliver this vital education in an accessible, safe and applicable way.
Ways to work with us
Workshops
Book an expert-facilitated, in-person workshop for adults with learning disabilities, built around our 3D learning tools, or purchase workshop packs giving you the tools, frameworks and scripts you need to facilitate sessions independently.
3D learning tools
Thoughtfully designed, high-quality, 3D tools to teach consent, relationships, intimacy and health to adults with learning disabilities. Each product comes with a detailed explanation and guidance on how to use it in training sessions and workshops.
Consultancy
Some challenges don't fit neatly into a workshop framework. They need dedicated, specific support. With almost 30 years’ experience in social work, safeguarding and learning disability practice, we provide dedicated consultancy and advice for organisations.
Hi, I’m Sarah McBrearty
I’ve spent more than 25 years working alongside adults with learning disabilities – 18 of them as a social worker, leading safeguarding enquiries, conducting mental capacity assessments, creating support plans and providing advocacy and education.
Often, I met adults who were expected to understand consent, privacy and healthy relationships when nobody had ever explained those things in a way that made sense to them.
So, I went back to university, gained a first-class honours degree in 3D Design and Craft, and started making the tools I'd spent the last two-and-a-half decades wishing I’d had.
